When I joined Selkirk, one of my earliest and most impactful projects was building Selkirk TV, the world’s first live streaming and on-demand content app dedicated entirely to pickleball. From the ground up, I helped transform a bold idea into a fully functioning media platform that gave fans a central hub for the sport they love.
In the early stages, I managed the app’s daily operations—overseeing content scheduling, editing, show artwork, and push notifications—while also shaping the creative direction of original programming. This hands-on foundation was crucial in establishing Selkirk TV’s identity and ensuring that viewers experienced consistent, engaging content from day one.
As the platform scaled, I transitioned away from daily execution to focus on leading and growing the media team. I directed a group of editors, content managers, and social specialists, empowering them to run the day-to-day production while I concentrated on long-term growth and strategy. This included negotiating licensing deals with professional pickleball tours, bringing their live streams to Selkirk TV and dramatically increasing the platform’s visibility to a broader audience of fans.
I also monetized the app, building revenue streams that allowed Selkirk TV to not only sustain itself but also drive financial value back to the broader Selkirk brand. At the same time, I oversaw a separate creative media team focused on Selkirk’s brand video production, ensuring that the company’s product storytelling and marketing campaigns worked hand-in-hand with Selkirk TV to strengthen brand recognition and boost sales.
In this leadership role, I positioned Selkirk TV as the “Netflix of pickleball”, expanded its reach through strategic partnerships, and oversaw the launch of the industry’s leading pickleball podcast network. By focusing on both content innovation and business growth, I helped transform Selkirk TV from a pioneering idea into a cornerstone of pickleball culture—scaling its influence, driving revenue, and deepening its impact within the sport.
